Product Description

The Flynn brothers have inherited more than a New Orleans plantation. They've inherited a ghostly presence… and a long-kept secret.

Aidan Flynn, a private investigator and eldest of the Flynn brothers, scoffs at the haunted-house rumors—especially since Kendall Montgomery, a tarot card reader who has been living in the mansion, is the one to tell him the tale of a woman in white. But when he finds a human bone on the grounds and another by the river, Aidan delves into the dark history of the Flynn plantation.

Forced together to uncover the truth, Aidan and Kendall realize that a serial killer whose victims seem to vanish into thin air has long been at work…and that their own fates are about to be sealed forever unless they believe in the unbelievable.

C. Gore Said: It barely held my interest... Jun. 21st 2010

This is the prototypal Heather Graham aggregation I've feature and it is rattling likely to be the last. The news had an interesting although commonplace premise, but for me the composition did not stop my interst. Several nowadays I institute myself skimming rather than reading.

The story lacked chemistry bettwen Kendell and Aidan. I did not conceive Aidan was as much of a movement as the author proven to portray him to be. I change Kendell was an obstructionist in Aidan's enquiry into a doable program killer. She was overprotective of her friends. I could not amount out why, if she was so trusty they were innocent, was it not okay for Aidan to question her friends seriously, especially since it was country they had candid noesis of the case/victims.

I conceive had the author included more of the brother's in this book I would hit been fascinated to feature any sequels involving them, but by the end of the aggregation I meet barely cared sufficiency most some of it to feature the last few pages. The perplexity is what kept me reading, wanting to knew who was behindhand the disapperances, but it lacked an edge of suspense and because the composition didn't entertainer me in I just cared.

JerseyGirl Said: New Orleans Ghost Story and Romance Sep. 14th 2009

I was immediately interested in this story since it is about a haunted plantation in New Orleans.

Aidan Flynn and his brothers have inherited a New metropolis plantation from their great-aunt whom they have never met or really knew about.

Kendall Montgomery, a New Orleans native, was a friend and care-taker for the Flynn brothers' aunt.

When the great-aunt passes away, the plantation is mitt to the Flynn brothers and they become to municipality to verify possession.

The plantation comes with ghosts and a tragic love story that haunts the plantation to this day. Aidan, a clannish investigator, finds bones near the plantation and from there the story becomes a murder perplexity with romance and specter hauntings tangled in for good measure.

I enjoyed the ghost story and the New Orleans setting. The remove perplexity adds to the mix.

Eric Said: Not a book to festinate off to buy Sep. 11th 2009

I'd provide this a 2.5 stars if I could. My mother in law dispatched the Flynn Brothers Trilogy to me after she was finished reading them. I likeable the setting in New Orleans since I haven't feature likewise some books based there, but other than that the aggregation was meet so so. The characters don't seem to be really matured I could never intend into the main characters as I should be and the writing is just ok. The one thing that discomposed me the most in the news would be reaching from the saucer of view of one case and then the incoming line it would jump to someone else.
There are several parts of the aggregation that kept me in suspense, but I was just pleased to attain it to the end and find out who did it. I'll be putting this in my pile of books to provide absent because I could never sit downbound to feature it again. Two more to go, wish the another digit brothers' stories are better.

Linda Demaree Said: A Solid Three Aug. 17th 2009

I am usually not a fan of humanities suspense, but this digit was every right. What drives me crazy in romance novels took locate in this one, so I had to overlook that in order to provide it a three. dyestuff and Aiden spent the meliorate part of the aggregation not liking each other and at the aforementioned time were attracted to apiece another - this is pretty such a standard in romance novels, and that is what I hate most them - they are so predictable. So, to me this conception of the plot was a detriment, but another than that, it was a pretty decorous read. I will feature the next two books in the trilogy in the hopes they module intend better. I usually same Heather choreographer novels better than most humanities suspense writers, so I module countenance nervy to the incoming two novels in this trilogy.

ChibiNeko Said: Not bad, but I've read meliorate by her Aug. 11th 2009

This book was diverting to read, but I couldn't help but feel at nowadays that I've seen better from Graham. Maybe my instrument is rotten after reading the genuinely horrible "Picture Me Dead" preceding to reading this book. In some case, the book was entertaining to read & there's quite a taste of prospect for this trilogy.

The news in this book focuses around the Flynn brother Aidan & the horny class owner Kendall. After a not so spectacular meeting, sparks fly between the two as Aidan tries to solve a perplexity surrounding missing girls & occult bones that hit shown up in the kinsfolk graveyard. Meanwhile a sinister evil has begun to settle over the municipality & plantation as something stalks Kendall, hoping to claim her for its own.

Overall, I did like this story. The alchemy between the two characters was terrific, though I desire that biochemist had played harder to get for maybe another chapter or two. The activity characters are every interesting, although at nowadays there seems to be a few likewise many mentioned in passing. Perhaps they'll be more important later on in the trilogy, but so farther some of the mentions seemed a lowercase superfluous. Also at nowadays I meet change like the story was treading water as various things were mentioned, which I'm hoping is finished so there's no need for it to be drawn out in the next two books. Even so, the command of this first book is plain & this is ease something I'd recommend for most romance thriller fans.
